01This agreement

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SquadraIQ (the “Service”), operated by João Miguel Martins (an individual (sole trader) based in Portugal) (“SquadraIQ”, “we”, “us”). By creating or using an account, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Service for a club or organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these Terms on its behalf.

If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

02Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use SquadraIQ. The Service is intended for clubs and coaching staff acting in a professional or organisational capacity, not for personal use by children.

Access is currently invitation-only: accounts are created for approved email addresses rather than through open self-registration, and access is limited to an approved list. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us at squadraiq@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised use. One person, one account; do not share credentials.

03Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service unlawfully, or to infringe anyone’s rights, including data-protection and intellectual-property rights;
• upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, or that you have no right to share;
• attempt to access another club’s workspace or data, or to bypass access controls, tenant isolation, or the approved-access list;
• probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service, or disrupt it (including automated scraping, denial-of-service, or excessive load);
• reverse-engineer, copy, or resell the Service or its underlying analysis engines except as the law expressly permits;
• misrepresent your identity or your authority to act for a club.

Responsible, good-faith security research is welcome, please report findings to squadraiq@gmail.com rather than acting on them.

04Your content & responsibilities

You keep ownership of the content you and your club create in the workspace (squad lists, notes, plans, insights, scouting records, and similar). You grant us the limited licence needed to host, process, and display that content so we can provide the Service to you.

You are responsible for the content you record. Where it includes personal data about identifiable people , players, staff, opponents, and especially minors, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to record it and, where required, the necessary consent. For that content the club is the data controller and we act as its processor, as described in the Privacy Policy.

SquadraIQ supports your decisions; it does not make them for you. It is not legal, financial, medical, or regulatory advice. Decisions about contracts, registrations, transfers, player welfare, or compliance remain yours, and you should confirm them with the appropriate professional or official source.

05Plans & subscriptions

SquadraIQ is designed around four plans, which differ in the number of teams and members and the features included:

What is true today. The Service is currently offered on the free trial only. Every new club starts with a 14-day trial; when it ends, access to the workspace is paused until a paid plan is available and taken. We do not currently charge you or collect any payment or card details, and the checkout shown in the app is a preview that does not process a payment.

When paid plans launch. Prices, billing intervals, taxes, renewals, upgrades, downgrades, cancellations, and refunds will be set out at the point of purchase, and paid subscriptions will be subject to those additional terms together with these Terms. We will not start charging an existing account without telling you first and giving you the choice to continue.

06Intellectual property

The Service, its software, analysis engines, algorithms, interface, design, visual identity, and text, is owned by SquadraIQ and protected by law. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service; they do not transfer any ownership to you.

Club names, logos, crests, and other marks belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify teams and competitions. See our Legal Notice for the full position on third-party marks and on our own copyright.

07Availability & changes to the Service

SquadraIQ is under active development and is currently offered as a private, evaluation-stage service. We provide it “as is” and “as available”, without any uptime or availability commitment (there is no service-level agreement at this stage). We may change, add, or remove features, and we may perform maintenance that makes the Service temporarily unavailable.

We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes, but we may act immediately where needed for security, legal, or operational reasons.

08Suspension & termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if your use poses a security or legal risk, or if we are required to by law. Where reasonable and lawful, we will give you notice and an opportunity to fix the problem first.

On termination, your right to use the Service ends. We will handle any personal data in line with the Privacy Policy, including your rights to export and erasure. Terms that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability, governing law) will continue to apply.

09Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Football data, including reference data about players and any derived scores or estimates, is provided for insight and is not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or up to date; do not rely on it as the sole basis for a decision. Market dates, registration rules, and similar information, where shown, are guidance, not an official source. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

10Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SquadraIQ will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or €100. Because the Service is currently free, no fees have been paid, and this cap reflects that.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rules that give you the right to bring proceedings in your own country, the courts of the courts of the district of Lisbon, Portugalwill have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer in the EU, you may also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform.
